Commitment to our Community
The Sisters of Omega Pi strive to create a balance
between raising funds for local charities and giving
their time to help fill the need for volunteers within our community.
The sisters of Omega Pi are devoted to the local community, and are committed to making a difference throughout the areas in which they live. This is accomplished through both fundraising initiatives and active participation in community events. Omega Pi has a strong history of community involvement, and we look forward to being of service in any way that we can.

This Year in Philanthropy...
This year we have decided to choose two charities to donate our time and/or funds to. For the fall semester, this is the Halifax on the Front Line Society. This fund provides financial assistance to women and men living with breast cancer. Some of the most stressful realities are of a financial nature including incidental costs while going through treatment. Sometimes just coming up with bus fare can be difficult. A little bit of help can make a big difference. Titz' n Glitz does not fund research. (www.titznglitz.com)
Please see our Events page to be updated on the events which will take place for the fall and winter semesters.
In the past we have assisted with individual fund raisers for this group at Toonies for Tatas Tuesday, and helped to raise more than $7000!

Last Year
Dress for Success clothing drive
At our annual Christmas party the sisters brought clothing donations to be dropped off at Dress for Success to help women in our community get back on their feet.
Toonie's for Tata
The girls went out to collect donations to help women battling breast cancer. In one morning's work the volunteers for Toonie's for Tatas raised over $2000.00 to help women in need in our community.
Aids Walk 2006
A tradition for Omega Pi's. Our goal this year is to raise $200 for the Aids Coalision of Nova Scotia. AIDS walk was Saturday, September 30th, 2006. It took place at the Halifax Central Commons, by the Pavilion Building.
